DESCAM joins the trade fair EuroMold 2006 for the 13th time.

This year, the trade fair EuroMold will take place in Frankfurt again. It is the thirteenth time already. DESCAM has been an exhibitor since the very beginning. Moreover, the hand-held laser scanning system ModelMaker has been introduced at the market thirteen years before. Sigmund Scriba, general manager of DESCAM 3D Technologies GmbH, says: „I can still remember the very first EuroMold, which took place in Wiesbaden at that time. Since then, the trade fair continued to grow every year and is today one of the most important trade fairs for tool- and mould making, design and product development. DESCAM has grown, too, we enlarged our product range and started to distribute ModelMaker, a real high-level product, in 1997.“

Nearly any object can be scanned with ModelMaker quick and easy. The captured data represents the base for surfacing, inspection, CNC programs, rapid prototyping, simulations and much more. Many production steps will be accelerated with ModelMaker or possible in the first place. The laser scanning system is used within automotive, aircraft, foundry, research and training centres, handicraft, art, medical, music etc. To come to the point, it is used everywhere, where fast and accurate scanning is necessary.
